We are seeking an IT Support (Desktop Services) to join our team. This role will involve providing technical support across multiple statewide locations, troubleshooting hardware/software/network issues, and supporting large-scale desktop and device environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in Help Desk support, Active Directory, networking fundamentals, desktop imaging/deployment, hardware/software troubleshooting, and customer service , along with a passion for delivering reliable and efficient IT services.

Job Description:

As part of the Information Technology Services (ITS) team, the IT Support Consultant will be responsible for providing technical support for over 2800+ desktops, 100+ laptops, and 400+ networked multifunction devices and printers across multiple statewide locations. This role requires strong hands-on skills in desktop imaging, troubleshooting, customer support, and LAN-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic networking issues for end users across multiple locations.
• Provide customer-facing support via phone, onsite visits, and vendor coordination.
• Perform extensive desktop imaging and deployment using GHOST 8.0 or above ; familiarity with FOG imaging tools is a plus.
• Diagnose and resolve PC hardware issues using diagnostic tools; rebuild workstations as needed.
• Install, configure, and maintain PC hardware, peripherals, and software of moderate complexity.
• Support LAN environments, including simple device configurations and network component installations.
• Assist with system and network hardware/software upgrades and enhancements.
• Configure and install terminal emulation software for host connectivity.
• Maintain accurate documentation and perform related IT duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 1 3+ years of software troubleshooting experience.
• 4 6+ years of experience in teamwork-driven IT environments.
• Experience in help desk operations, customer support, and IT service delivery.
• Strong working knowledge of Active Directory and basic networking concepts.
• Experience supporting mobile devices and multi-function printers.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and customer service skills.
