Job Details

The HR Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the human resources department. The individual in this role will be involved in recruitment, payroll administration and other areas of human resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides support for the recruiting process (e.g., schedule interviews, sending background checks, attending job fairs/recruitment events as needed, drug tests and contacting select candidates)
  • Coordinates the new hire orientation process (e.g., scheduling the orientation, preparing orientation paperwork, and creating the employee files), including I-9 completion/compliance
  • Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
  • Provides support on auditing, review and processing of the paperwork and forms
  • Participates in special projects and initiatives, including engagement, job fairs and HR Assessments
  • Must maintain confidentiality and perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Supports company Open Enrollment period to ensure smooth processing
  • Supports Payroll processing
  • Other Duties as assigned
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education & Experience
  • Highschool diploma or GED required
  • 1 year of Human Resources/payroll/clerical experience preferred

Work is performed primarily in office. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate in other situations.
